Hi Guys
Next week I will be coming to your class and showing a presentation on how physics apply in a car crash.
Here is a video about the new smart cars and how safe they are. It is shocking how safe they where able to make such a small car.

Dude, Phil, that is an awesome video. Still, I wouldn't want to be in a smart car during a car crash.
ReplyDeleteOn my way to work one day I saw a small pickup truck turn left through a red light at an intersection and a massive semi-truck clobbered it into oblivion. The pickup truck spun out onto the side of the road. The semi truck was barely nicked. Amazingly, nobody was hurt in the accident. The semi-truck caught the bed of the truck and the driver was really shaken up, but without any serious injuries. I don't know how he didn't see that semi coming.
Be safe everyone. Don't run red lights!
That was an awesome video, having the reinforced frame of the car is a good step, but they might want to put a little more effort into reinforcing the floor pannels so that everybody doesn't lose their legs everytime there is an accident.
ReplyDeleteOn my way to a bowling alley i was riding with my best friend and we were waiting on the light to turn left. So there are two left turn lanes and we are in the right one, my friend is texting on his phone and the light turns green, the van next to us goes and turns. So he puts the phone down and takes off, as we turn a big f-250 flies through the light missing the front of truck I was in and smashing the van so hard the sliding door wass pushed in farther the the first rows of seats. Old man gets out of the truck and says he never saw the light change.
